Mary E. (Lavery) Goeller, 69, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at her daughter's home in Middleboro on Thursday, September 4, 2014 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Edward A. "Skip" Goeller, Jr. Daughter of the late Katherine F. (Vogel) Lavery, she was born in Boston, raised in Dorchester and graduated from Boston schools and Boston City Hospital School of Nursing. She resided in Stoughton for the past 46 years. Mrs. Goeller was a registered nurse with the Brockton VNA for over 20 years before retiring 8 years ago. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Goeller is survived by her children, Charles J. "Chuck" Goeller, his partner Kerri Grant and her daughter Kylie of Barrington, NH and Karen T. Sargent and her husband Michael of Middleboro, as well as her grandchildren, Emily and Megan Sargent. She was the sister of John "Jack" Lavery and his wife Donna of Woodstock, GA and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 10 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
