Mary A. (Power) Foster, 74, died unexpectedly at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, October 16. She was the wife of Joseph T. Foster of 49 years. Born in Stoughton, she was a lifelong resident of Stoughton and a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1951. Mrs. Foster was a secretary at Stoughton Town Hall for 45 years before retiring in 1995. She was active with the Stoughton Council on Aging and a former member of the Stoughton Irish American Society. She was also active with St. Vincent de Paul Society in Stoughton.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Foster is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Power.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 20 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or Old Colony Hospice, 1 Credit Union Way, Randolph, MA 02368.
