Mary K. (Kucinskas) Cowgill, 76, died unexpectedly at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Monday, February 11. She was the wife of the late John E. Cowgill, Jr. Born and raised in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1954 and Bridgewater State College. Mrs. Cowgill was a lifelong resident of Stoughton before moving to South Easton 8 years ago. She worked at Norfolk County Trust and then BayBank in Stoughton for over 25 years before retiring 16 years ago. She was a member of the Society of Decorative Painters. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, needlepoint and trips to Foxwoods. Mrs. Cowgill was an avid cribbage player and played in a Wednesday night league at the American Legion in Canton and a Thursday morning league at the Easton Senior Center. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family.
Mrs. Cowgill is survived by her daughter, Lorraine K. Vareika and her husband Michael of S. Easton as well as her granddaughter, Katherine Vareika. She was the sister of the late Adella Coe, Lillian Russell and Nellie Vincent. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, February 18 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 10-11 AM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
