Mary F. (MacCombie) Churchill, 95, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Antelope Valley Care Center in Lancaster, CA after a period of failing health. Born in Boston, she was an 87-year resident of Stoughton, and a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1934. She married her high school sweetheart, the late Kenneth M. Churchill, in 1938. Together, they hand-built their family home on Churchill Avenue and operated Churchill Oil Company for nearly 40 years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Stoughton for 83 years and was their oldest living member. She and Ken moved to Palmdale, CA in 2003 to be closer to their family. She loved doing church work, caring for others and sharing jokes with family and friends.
She is survived by her son Colonel Howard A. Churchill and his wife Janice (Cudmore) of Palmdale, CA; her grandchildren, Kimberly L. Crump and her husband Mark, Lisa K. Fishman and her husband Glen and Keith D. Churchill and his wife Sophie; and her great grandchildren, Ashley and Amber Crump, Christopher, Mariette and Cameron Churchill, all of California. She was the sister of the late Howard, Herbert, Albert and Franklin MacCombie, Helen Doe, Florence Doe and Pearl Eller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held in the First United Methodist Church in Stoughton at a date to be announced later. Visiting Hours Omitted.
