Mary M. Brady

Mary M. Brady, 89, a resident of Bridgewater, died peacefully at the Guardian Center in Brockton on July 14, 2016. Daughter of the late Bernard J. and Ann M. (McDonald) Brady, she was a lifelong resident of Stoughton before moving to Bridgewater 20 years ago. She was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1945. Although living in Bridgewater, she was proud of her Stoughton heritage; when asked, she always said she was from Stoughton, never forgetting where she came from. Mary was a kind soul who dedicated herself to caring for her mother; retiring early to oversee her mother's well-being. Mary retired from Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Welfare in 1988 where she worked as an administrative assistant for over 26 years. She was an avid bowler and bowled in the First Baptist League in Brockton for many years. She was an accomplished stitcher making and repairing clothing for her family.

Mary was the sister of Evelyn Lonergan of Brockton and the late Helen Brophy and Arthur, Joseph, Leonard, Donald and Bernard Brady. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
