Mark D. Sullivan, 63, a resident of Norwood, died at Norwood Hospital on Sunday, April 12, 2015 after a lengthy illness. Son of the late James J. and Anne S. (Huff) Sullivan, he was born in Boston and raised in Stoughton. He was a graduate of Stoughton High School and attended Bridgewater State College. Mark was a Specialist in the U.S. Army and a Vietnam era veteran stationed in South Korea. He enjoyed music, car rides with his niece, Rachel and reading.
Mark was the brother of Leslie Sullivan of Bridgman, MI and the late Mary Young and Scott Sullivan. He was the uncle of Rachel, Jade and Robert Young and Harry and Grace Krsul-Sullivan.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, April 16 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 6-8 PM. Interment will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in Mark's memory may be made to Bring Change 2 Mind, 1265 Battery St., 5th Fl., San Francisco, CA 94111 or Bringchange2mind.org, a non-profit working to end the stigma and discrimination surrounding mental illness.
