Mark C. "Salty" Sault, 55, a longtime resident of Franklin, died on Saturday, December 12, 2015, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He leaves behind his loving wife, Diana M. "Gert" Sault. Born in Boston, the son of Robert and Elaine (Matson) Sault, he was raised and educated in Avon and a graduate of Avon High School. Mr. Sault was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He worked as a Heavy Truck Mechanic for Gulf Oil & Cumberland Farms in Westboro for over 20 years. Salty was an avid Harley rider and loved to organize long distance rides for his family and friends. He was known as "The Tour Guide", and it was well known that to ride with Salty, all you had to do is show up on time and enjoy the ride. He also enjoyed traveling, driving his Corvette and spending time in Killington, VT with his friends.
Salty was the beloved brother of Sandra Lynch of Brockton, Leslie Sault of VA and Sherry Guilbault of Bridgewater. He was the cherished uncle of Courtney Ryan, Ryan Lynch, Nicole Guilbault, Keith Holloran and Kelly Murphy. Mr. Sault was the brother in law of Debra Holloran and Dana Savoie. He is also survived by Nidhi Purohit and her parents of VT and several great nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday from 4-8 PM. A Celebration of his Life will be held in February at a date and time to be announced.
