Marion E. (King) Doucette, 69, a resident of Brockton, died unexpectedly Saturday, October 29 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center. Daughter of the late Patrick and Monica (Hunt) King, she was born and raised in Dorchester and graduated from St. Patrick High School in Roxbury, Class of 1959. Marion was a resident of Brockton for 8 years after living in Quincy for 27 years. She was the CEO of Boston Globe Credit Union, where she worked for over 35 years before retiring 4 years ago. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, sewing, camping and spending time with family and friends.
Marion is survived by her children, John P. Doucette of Provincetown, Karen M. Stroup and Linda M. Sanford both of Brockton and Patti A. Pickering and her husband Scott of Weymouth. She was the devoted grandmother of Ryan, Jonathon, Jesse and Jamie. She was the sister of Harold King of Quincy, Betty Zine of Brockton, Gerald King of Attleboro, Geri Talbot of Braintree and the late Patrick King. She is also survived by her longtime companion, Richie Cotto of Framingham and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, November 4 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be private. Donations in Marion's memory may be sent to the MSPCA, 1300 W. Elm St., Ext., Brockton, MA 02301.
