Mario Castaneda, 53, died at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington on Wednesday, July 12 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Cheri (Imbaro) Castaneda. Born in El Paso, TX he was educated in Texas and Los Angeles, CA schools and attended college in Los Angeles, CA. Mr. Castaneda was an U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a resident of Stoughton for 8 years after living in East Bridgewater for 10 years. He was the owner of Jetka Enterprises, Inc. in Boston for 20 years. He enjoyed computers, movies and Harley-Davidson Motorcycles.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Castaneda is survived by his daughter, Jessica L. Castaneda of CT; his son, Joseph M. Castaneda of Stoughton; his parents, Estanislado and Ramona (Gomez) Castaneda of TX; his brother, Eduardo R. Castaneda of TX and his sisters, Paula "Margie" Castaneda of CA and Thelma Rodriguez of TX. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and his dogs.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, July 15 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 4-8 PM. Interment will be held at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.
