Marilyn E. (Wiegand) King, 77, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died unexpectedly at Brockton Hospital on Thursday, April 11. She was the wife of Patrick B. "Bernie" King. Daughter of the late William J. Wiegand, Jr. and Mary E. (Howe) Wiegand, she was born and raised in Dorchester and graduated from Jeremiah E. Burke High School, Class of 1953. Mrs. King was a resident of Stoughton since 1965. She was a homemaker. In her free time she loved to travel with her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. King is survived by her children, Stephen P. King and his wife Brenda of FL, Brian W. King of Middleboro, Patricia E. Carter and her husband David and Diane M. Kimball and her husband Scott all of Stoughton. She was the sister of Mary Claire Wiegand and Sr. Eleanor Wiegand, CSJ both of Framingham, Joan E. Gallagher and Virginia M. Fontana both of Middleboro and the late William J. Wiegand, III. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, April 15 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
