Marilyn A. (Matthews) Crifo, 79, a longtime resident of Raynham and Stoughton, died Friday, March 18, 2016 at Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the wife of the late Salvatore J. Crifo. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in West Roxbury and graduated from Roslindale High School. She owned Marilyn's Salon in Dedham for over 20 years. Marilyn also worked as a nanny for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping, ceramics and traveling on cruises.
Mrs. Crifo was the mother of Kimberly A. Butts and her husband Jerry of Raynham and the late Ted. S. Crifo. She was the grandmother of Nicole Dukes and Amanda Butts and the great grandmother of Dillany and Collette Dukes. Marilyn was the sister of Loretta Salvato of Westwood, Lillian Fife of Needham and the late Barbara Griffin, Donald Matthews and Arnold Matthews. She is also survived by her longtime companion, Gaspie Scurti and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, March 24 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Blessing at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-7 PM. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Marilyn's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105.
