Marie V. (Bellevue) Divers, 91, died Saturday, April 18, 2015 at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Dominique Divers. Born in Jeremie Moron, Haiti, she was raised and educated in Haiti. She moved to the United States 27 years ago and settled in Hyde Park, where she lived for over 10 years. Mrs. Divers was a resident of Stoughton for the past 15 years. She was a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Divers was the mother of Louis Divers, Murielle Divers, Blondine Divers, Marie Divers and Elizabeth Merizier all of Stoughton and the late Lucmann Divers. She was the sister of Bernadette Bellevue of FL and was predeceased by 4 brothers. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, May 1 from 5-8 PM. Funeral services will be held in the Faith Baptist Church, 18 Stoughton St., Stoughton on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 10 AM with a visiting hour prior to the service from 9-10AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
