Marie A. (Sly) Crean, 86, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died at home on Saturday, August 2, 2014 surrounded by her family. Born in Stoughton, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School. Mrs. Crean was a cashier at Shaw's in Canton for over 20 years before retiring at age 79. She enjoyed gardening, traveling with her daughters and dancing.
Marie was the mother of Charles E. Crean of Stoughton, Kathleen F. Reilly and Karen A. Adams both of Halifax and the late Dr. Edmund V. Crean. She was the sister of Edmund Sly of Stoughton, Robert Sly of Easton and the late Frank Sly. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her former husband, Robert V. Crean.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, August 7 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will be private.
