Marie Rita (Testa) Ceraso, 92, died peacefully with loving family by her side at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Friday, February 20, 2015. Marie was the loving and devoted wife of the late Guido "Joe" Ceraso for over 57 years. Marie was born and raised in Dorchester, the daughter of the late Frank and Concetta Testa, and later was a longtime resident of Stoughton. After raising her family, Marie worked for the Department of Public Health in Boston. After retirement, she volunteered at the Council on Aging in Stoughton for several years. Marie was a wonderful, caring woman and the best mother who will be missed terribly be all who love her.
Marie is survived by her children, Joseph Ceraso and his wife Angela of Michigan, Julie Nevil and Sheila Ceraso both of Stoughton and Susan Dadak and her husband Michael of West Bridgewater. She was the grandmother of Jill Rossetti and her fianc Paul Maher, Nancy Rose and her husband Keith, David Nevil and his wife Jerelyn, Joseph Nevil and his partner Brian Bessette and Joseph Ceraso. She was the sister Jennie Esdale of Dedham, Rose Sisto of Brockton, Phyllis Keane of Scituate, Anthony Testa of Westwood and the late Carmela Fiore, Dominic and Pasquale Testa. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, February 27 from 8:30-10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
