Marie E. Abdelnour

Marie E. (Koob) Abdelnour, 69, a longtime resident of Brockton, died at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on Monday, November 15. She was the wife of the late Edward D. Abdelnour. Born in Utica, NY, she was raised and educated in Utica and Springfield, MA. She received her Nursing Degree from the Westfield School of Nursing. She was a resident of Brockton for 45 years. Mrs. Abdelnour was a Specialty Care Unit Nurse at the Goddard Hospital in Stoughton for several years before retiring. In her free time she enjoyed traveling to Disney World, Maine, New York and Foxwoods and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Mrs. Abdelnour is survived by her children, Edward D. Abdelnour II, Brockton PD and his wife Debbie of Brockton, Philip W. Abdelnour and his wife Jennifer of Winchester, NH, Theresa M. Sutermeister and her husband William of Taunton and Andrew M. Abdelnour and his wife Tanya of Brockton. She was the sister of Dennis Koob and his wife Judy of Belchertown and Joan Szalkucki of Rome, NY. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held From the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, November 19 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Marie's name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, 01701.
