Marianne (Martin) Fenton, 77, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Tufts Medical Center in Boston on Friday, July 20, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late James E. Fenton, Sr. Daughter of the late Willis A. Martin, Jr. and Elizabeth (Weadick) Martin, she was born and raised in Natick and graduated from Natick High School, Class of 1958. She also attended Boston University. Marianne was a resident of Stoughton for 45 years. She worked in the Records Department at Boston Children's Hospital for 10 years before working at Liberty Mutual in Canton for 10 years. She was also a homemaker at home with her family. Marianne's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Marianne is survived by her children, Carrie L. Morrison and her husband John of Bellingham and James E. Fenton, Jr. of Brockton, as well as her grandchildren, Ashlee, Anthony, James, Kelsey, Kellie, Haylee, Tiffany and Collin. She was the sister of Andy Martin of Bellingham, David Martin of Framingham, Jane Martin and Gerry Martin both of Stoughton and the late Frank, Tommy, Anne and Richard Martin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, July 25 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
