Marianne DelConte

Marianne (Weaver) DelConte of Stoughton, died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, September 8. She was 69. Ms. DelConte was the former wife of Michael DelConte. Born in Milton on April 16, 1943, Ms. DelConte was the daughter of the late True and Barbara Weaver. She attended the Massachusetts College of Art and worked as an Administrative Assistant for Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare. She also worked as a Knitting Instructor at Dee's Nimble Needles in Walpole and Creative Stitch in Cohasset. Ms. DelConte was an artist who enjoyed knitting, attending many knitting conventions and fiber festivals, and loved family gatherings. Marianne treasured her family dearly and adored playing with her grandchildren. She is lovingly remembered by her family for her strong will to live and her positive attitude. Ms. DelConte touched many people's lives and was greatly loved by all those who knew her.

Ms. DelConte is survived by four children, Seth Curtis and his wife Noralee of Stoughton, Sarah DelConte Cosentino and her husband Christopher of Lancaster, Michael DelConte and his wife Amanda of Milton and Joshua DelConte and his wife Emily of Seekonk. She was the sister of Barbara Dolan of Chicopee and loving grandmother of James, Kristy, David, Isabella, Luciana and Vincent. Ms. DelConte also leaves her beloved cat, "Sammy."

A Memorial Service will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Saturday Sept. 15 at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 PM.
