Maria A. Valadao

Maria A. Valadao, 86, died Sunday, August 17, 2014 at the Lifecare Center of West Bridgewater after a period of failing health. Born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal, she came to the United States in 1967 and settled in Stoughton. She retired from Polaroid at age 60. Ms. Valadao was a woman of strong faith and was dedicated to her family.

She was the sister of Teresa Valadao and Celina Valadao both of Portugal and the late Ines Valadao, Manuel Valadao, Herminia Valadao and Luis Valadao. She was the beloved aunt of Leonia Serpa, Yvonne Nunes, Celina Valadao and Terri Anne Pisseri.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Wednesday at 10:30AM. Visiting Hours will be prior to the mass at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton from 9-10 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Stoughton. At Maria's request, no flowers will be accepted. Donations in her memory may be made to Boston Children's Hospital, 300 Longwood Ave, Boston, MA 02115.
