Maria Rosa Figueiredo

Maria Rosa (Sousa) Figueiredo, 89, died Thursday, July 12, 2012, at her home after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Tiago B. Figueiredo. Born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal, she was raised and educated in Santa Maria. Mrs. Figueiredo came to the United States in 1969 and settled in Stoughton. She worked as an assembler for Corcoran Shoe for many years, retiring at age 66. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Jose S. Figueiredo of AZ and Tiago S. Figueiredo of Stoughton. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass in the Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30AM.
