Maria A. "Idalina" (Alves) DePina, 86, a former resident of Stoughton, died at home in Kissimmee, FL on Tuesday, September 28. She was the wife of the late Jose E. DePina. Born and raised in Cape Verde, she lived in Senegal for several years before moving to Stoughton in 1981. She resided in Kissimmee, FL for the past 6 years. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. DePina is survived by her children, Manuel DePina of Brockton, Maria DePina, Suzette DePina and Clara DePina all of Stoughton and Caroline DePina of Kissimmee, FL. She was the grandmother of Nora DePina, Nina Nuorgan and Desiree Burke. She was the sister of Angelo Teixeira and Bossuet DePina both of Cape Verde, Jose DePina of Dorchester, Anita Delgado, Antonia Cabral, Arlette DePina and Fortunato DePina all of Portugal and Manuel Depina of CT. She is also survived by 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 2 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 5-9 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
