Maria C. (Vieira) DeAndrade, 98, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, February 7, 2017. She was the wife of the late Manuel DeAndrade. Born and raised in Madeira, Portugal, she resided in Stoughton for over 50 years. Along with her husband, they also spent a few years in Florida before returning to Stoughton. Maria worked at Corcoran Shoe in Stoughton for 19 years before retiring at age 62. She was a member of the Portuguese National Club in Stoughton. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, cooking and spending time with her family.
Mrs. DeAndrade is survived by her children, Manuel DeAndrade and his wife Liria of Florida, Maria D. Ladeira and her husband Antonio of Stoughton, John "Goose" DeAndrade of East Bridgewater, Constance D. Araujo and her husband Tiberio of Stoughton and Tommy DeAndrade of Taunton. She was the sister of the late Manuel Vieira, Antonio DoVale and Agostinho DoVale. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, February 10 from 9:00 - 11:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11:45 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Maria's memory may be made to Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton, MA 02072.
