Maria Fatima Costa

Maria Fatima (Garcia) Costa, 66, died Friday, September 14, 2012, at the Goddard Rehabiliatation and Nursing Center in Stoughton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Jose M. Costa. Born in Flores, Azores, Portugal, she was raised and educated in Flores. She moved to the United States in 1998 and settled in Stoughton, where she lived until moving to Brockton in 2003. She worked for the Casual Male in Canton for many years in the Inventory Control Division and retired in 2010. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting and gardening.

She is survived by her son Michael Costa of Brockton, her brother Jose Garcia and sister Maria Elena Azevedo both of CA and sister Maria Helia Hospkins of NJ. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, eptember 17, at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 3-6 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
