Maria Eugenia (Fraga) Cardoso, 64, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Hellenic Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Canton on Sunday, November 28. She was the wife of the late Adelino A. Cardoso. Born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal, she was educated in Flores and attended night classes at Stoughton High School. Mrs. Cardoso was a resident of Stoughton since 1979. She was a self-employed housekeeper for 8 years after working as an assembler for Power General in Canton for over 20 years. She retired last year. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Mrs. Cardoso is survived by her children, Dora C. Foster and her husband Bob and Arthur J. Cardoso and his wife Sarah all of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Cameron Foster, Simora and Ryan Cardoso. She was the sister of Eugenio Fraga, Luis Fraga and Gabriel Fraga all of Stoughton, Jose Fraga of Flores, Portugal and the late Tobias Fraga and Ofelia Roque. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Wednesday, December 1 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday from 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Stoughton.
