Maria Fatima Bento

Maria Fatima (Pimentel) Bento, 61, died Friday, February 13, 2015 unexpectedly at her home in Stoughton. She was the wife of the late David P. Bento. Born in Sao Miguel, Portugal, she was raised and educated in Sao Miguel. Mrs. Bento came to the United States at age 18 and settled in Stoughton. She worked as a group leader at Intronics in Norwood for over 10 years. Previously she worked at Analog Devices in Norwood for over 25 years. She also was a seamstress. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her two daughters, Michelle B. Gomes and her husband Nelson of Stoughton and Dorothy T. Direnzo and her husband Mark of Avon. She was the sister of Jose Pimentel of CA, Estrela Rego and Antero Pimentel both of Canada and the late Honorato Pimentel. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Kailee Mason, Lourdes Direnzo and Rocco Direnzo and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Thursday, February 19 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
