Maria C. (Serpa) Ambrosio

Maria C. (Serpa) Ambrosio, 86, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at Boston Medical Center on Saturday, September 25, 2021. She was the wife of the late Rogerio R. Ambrosio. Daughter of the late Augusto J. Gomes and Maria Luisa Serpa, she was born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal. She resided in Stoughton since 1974. Maria worked at Acme Boot in Stoughton as well as several other businesses in the area for many years before retiring several years ago. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and word search puzzles. Her greatest joy was helping others with anything they needed.

Maria is survived by her children, Alice A. Almeida and her husband Joe of Stoughton and Joe Ambrosio and his wife Amy of Florida, as well as her grandchildren, Eric, Logan, Lance and Lex. She was the sister of Lurdes Freitas and Maria C. Serpa both of Flores, Portugal, Ana C. Gambao of Terceira, Portugal and the late Augusto G. Serpa, Maria V. Serpa, Antonio Serpa, Francisco Serpa and Jose Gomes. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, September 29 from 9:30-10:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
