Margaret E. Wilson

Margaret E. "Ellie" (Lonas) Wilson, 82, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died on Friday, May 21 at Baypointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brockton. She was the wife of the late Stoughton Asst. Town Manager Robert H. Wilson. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of St. Patrick's School in Roxbury. She also attended Staley College in Boston. Mrs. Wilson was a resident of Stoughton for over 50 years. She was a receptionist at Morse Shoe in Canton for 22 years before retiring over 15 years ago. In her free time she enjoyed reading, writing poetry and family journals.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her children, Sandra G. Barrett and her husband William of Holbrook and Laurel A. McGrath and her husband Michael of Stoughton, as well as her grandchildren, Brian, Kevin and William Barrett and Mackenzie, Will, Carson and Davis McGrath. She was the great-grandmother of Jake and Sean Barrett and Patrick Cooper. She was the sister of Dorothy M. McCabe of W. Roxbury and Joan A. Foley of Jamaica Plain.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, May 24 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 PM. Burial will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Ellie's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Assn., 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
