Margaret E. (Ormond) Spina, 85, died at Harborside Danvers Twin Oaks in Danvers on Friday, November 3 after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Anthony D. Spina. Born and educated in East Boston, Mrs. Spina was a resident of Beverly for 6 years. Before moving to Beverly she lived in Florida for 10 years and Roslindale for 20 years. She was a housewife at home with her family.
Mrs. Spina is survived by her children, Carolyn E. Spina of W. Roxbury, Anthony D. Spina of ME, Margaret A. Simolari and her husband Richard of Easton and Veronica R. Brown and her husband John of Andover, as well as her grandchildren, Nicole, Allison and Peter Brown and Amanda Simolari. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jacqueline Petrikas and her brothers, Frank Ormond and Joseph Ormond. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, November 7 at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Holy Cross Church, Easton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Easton. Donations in Margaret's name may be made to Harborlights House, 1 Monument Sq., Beverly, MA 01915.
