Margaret C. "Peg" (Crossman) O'Keeffe

Margaret C. "Peg" (Crossman) O'Keeffe, 75, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the West Acres Nursing Home in Brockton. She was the wife of 56 years of Richard A. "Dick" O'Keeffe. Born in Boston, she was raised and educated in Canton Schools until 8th grade. She then attended and graduated from Cardinal Cushing High School in Boston. She was also a graduate of Catherine Laboure School of Nursing in Dorchester. Mrs. O'Keeffe worked as a Registered Nurse at the Boston City Hospital in Boston for over 20 years, retiring in 2002. She was a resident of Stoughton for over 53 years. She was an avid golfer who ran the Friday Night Golf League at Cedar Hill Golf Course in Stoughton for many years. For many years, Peg and Dick enjoyed traveling to Florida and Hawaii to vacation and golf. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Peg is survived by her children and their spouses; Richard A. O'Keeffe, Jr. of WA, Kathleen O. McCaffrey and her husband Paul of Medford and Timothy M. O'Keeffe and his wife Elaine of CT. She was the sister of Patricia Landon of Mansfield and is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

A Visiting Hour will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 10 AM. Interment will be private. Donations in Peg's memory may be made to the Stoughton Ilse Marks Food Pantry, 116 Seaver St., Stoughton, MA 02072, or to the St. Anthony's Food Pantry, 2 Park Ave, Stoughton, MA 02072.
