Margaret Peggy Monteiro

Margaret (Jardim) Monteiro, 83, a longtime resident of Sharon, died Friday, December 12, 2014 at the Village at Willow Crossing in Mansfield. She was the wife of the late Arnold J. Monteiro. Born and raised in Somerville, she was a graduate of Somerville High School, class of 1949. Mrs. Monteiro lived in Sharon for over 48 years. She was a dedicated homemaker and mother and a beloved grandmother. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, movies and shopping.
She was the mother of Judith M. Becker and her husband Daniel of CT, Cynthia Monteiro of Sharon and Martin Monteiro and his wife Monique of North Easton. She was the grandmother of Jennifer Becker and her husband Mark Allbee, Christine Becker, Matthew, Madison and Maxx Monteiro. She was the sister of the late Alfred Jardim, Peter Jardim. She is also survived by her sister in law and best friend Sally Jardim of Scituate and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrow Church, Sharon at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Monday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon.
