Margaret B. Johnson

Margaret B. (Fernandes) Johnson, 97, a resident of Westwood, died peacefully at Epoch of Sharon on Wednesday, August 19, 2015. She was the wife of the late Joseph Johnson. Daughter of the late Peter G. and Phoebe Fernandes, she was born in Boston and resided in Dorchester for over 40 years before moving to Westwood 2 years ago. Margaret was a Nursing Assistant at Boston Children's Hospital for 15 years before retiring 32 years ago. She had previously worked at the Charlestown Naval Shipyard during World War II and then spent 10 years working at BF Goodrich. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, friends and pets.

Margaret is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Prayers will be offered from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Monday, August 24 at 11:00 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 9:30-11 AM. Interment will take place at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon. In lieu of flowers, donations in Margaret's memory may be sent to Boston Children's Hospital, 401 Park Dr., Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
