Margaret Mary (Gillis) Dahlin, 85, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Wednesday, January 4 at the Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton after a long illness. She was the wife of 61 years of Warren F. Dahlin. Born in Hull, she was educated in Hingham and a graduate of Hingham Schools. Mrs. Dahlin was the Business Manager for Designer's Metalcraft, their family owned business for 45 years. She was a member of Friends of Catholic Charities. She enjoyed working with her husband, cooking and entertaining.
In addition to her husband Warren, she is survived by her son Warren F. Dahlin, Jr. and his wife Michele of Bridgewater. She was the sister of James Gillis of Hull and the late John Gillis, Colin Gillis, Clare Zanowski and Mary Littlefield. She is also survived by her granddaughters Ingrid Dahlin-Dohorty of Newton and Emilia Dahlin of ME.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, January 7 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Friday 6-8 PM. Donations in Margaret's name may be made to the Senior Behavorial Health Unit, Good Samaritan Medical Center, 235 N. Pearl St., Brockton, 02301. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
