Margaret P. "Pat" (Daley) Cummings, 75, a longtime resident of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston on Sunday, March 18, 2018. She was the beloved wife of Robert M. Cummings for 54 years. Daughter of the late Daniel J. and Margaret R. Daley, she was born in Boston and raised in Roxbury and Dorchester. Pat was a Class of 1960 graduate of St. Joseph Academy in Roxbury and also graduated from Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School. She resided in Brockton for the past 48 years. Pat was the Conference Center Supervisor at Massasoit Community College for over 20 years. She was an avid Patriots fan who loved playing games. Known for her quick wit and unseen acts of kindness, Pat's greatest joy was spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by her daughters, Cindy A. O'Neil and her husband Peter of Kingston, Corinne L. Pugh and her husband Jamie of East Taunton, Christine J. Tropeano and her husband Nick of Brockton and Cathleen P. Cummings of Abington. She was the grandmother of Abigail, Samantha, Ethan and Logan. She was the sister of Ann Cuneo of Brewster, Helen Corbett of Rockland and the late Daniel and John Daley and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Friday, March 23 from 9:30-11 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 11:30 AM. Interment will take place at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in Pat's memory may be made to Boston Children's Hospital, 401 Park Dr., Suite 602, Boston, MA 02215.
