Marcolino M. Salvador, 67, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at home on Tuesday, January 31 surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Rita M. (Sousa) Salvador. Born and raised in Flores, Azores, Portugal, he was a resident of Stoughton for 40 years. Mr. Salvador was the head custodian at South Elementary School in Stoughton for many years before retiring 8 years ago. A well known handyman, he also enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Salvador is survived by his children, Thelma M. Cornell of Lakeville, Sonia M. Alves and Mark S. Salvador both of Stoughton, as well as his grandchildren, Eliana, Talya and Ricardo. He was the brother of Fatima Garcia of Stoughton and the late Jose Salvador and Angelina Mendonca. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, February 3 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton.
