Madelyn L. (Cavanaugh) Connors, 83, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the Baypointe Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Brockton after a long illness. She was the wife of the late John J. "Jack" Connors. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School and Bentley College. She was an executive secretary for the Stoughton Housing Authority for 14 years. Mrs. Connors was a member of the M.C.W.G. at Immaculate Conception Church and a former Den Mother for Cub Scouts. She loved being with family, knitting, crocheting and crafts.
Mrs. Connors is survived by her children, Kenneth J. Connors and Jeffrey J. Connors and his wife Deborah all of Stoughton and Gregory J. Connors and his wife Eileen Lunin Connors of East Taunton. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Joseph E. Cavanaugh.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Thursday, September 3 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. In lieu of flowers, donations in Madelyn's memory may be made to B.C. High School Cavanaugh Scholarship Fund, 150 Morrissey Blvd., Dorchester, MA 02125.
