Madeline R. (Lanier) Greenlaw Perry, 88, a longtime resident of Brockton, died at Kindred Hospital Northeast-Stoughton on Sunday, November 29. She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Perry. Born in East Providence, RI, she was educated in Providence and Norwood schools. She was a resident of Brockton for over 60 years. Mrs. Perry was a service manager at Zayre's in Brockton for 20 years before retiring in 1973. She was the President of Crescent Court Tenant Council in Brockton for over 20 years. She was very active with many youth programs in the community. In her free time she enjoyed Bingo and shopping.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her children, Brian Wilbur of Bourne, Gail Hardin of Raynham, Larry Greenlaw of Brockton and Wayne Perry of Maine. She was the grandmother of Chandra Gregory and the late Justin DeMello and is also survived by many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children, Peter Wilbur and Debra Greenlaw, as well as her 7 brothers and sisters.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, December 4 at 8:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Christ the King Church, Brockton at 10 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Donations in Madeline's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
