Madeline G. (Grady) Hagerty died September 30, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton after a brief period of failing health. She was the loving wife of the late Martin L. Hagerty. Born in Boston, she was raised in Forest Hills and Wellesley. She was a graduate of Notre Dame Academy, Roxbury (1948) and Emmanuel College (1952). Mrs. Hagerty was a longtime resident of Lexington from 1953-2005, lived in Winthrop until 2011 and has since lived in Stoughton. She was also a longtime summer resident of Hull. She was an adoring mother and a dedicated homemaker who also worked in Religious and Continuing Education and as a Real Estate Professional for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and with her many dear friends and associates.

Mrs. Hagerty was the mother of George A. Hagerty and his wife Jacki A. Elgar of Stoughton, Charles C. Hagerty last of Quincy and the late William D. Hagerty. She was the sister of Anne G. O'Connor Hennessey of Longmeadow and Paul L. Grady of Hingham. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Kaitlin S. Elgar Elwood and her many nieces and nephews of whom she was extremely proud.

Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, October 4 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Maddy's memory may be made to Emmanuel College, Development Office, 400 The Fenway, Boston, MA 02115 or to the Home for Little Wanderers, Development Dept., 10 Guest Street, Boston, MA 02135.
