MacDonald R. Evans

MacDonald R. "Mac" Evans, 57, died at the Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, June 12. He was the son of the late Robert O. and Colver B. (MacDonald) Evans. Born in Cambridge, he was a longtime resident of Stoughton before moving to Brockton 12 years ago. He was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1968. Mr. Evans a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Stoughton for 30 years before retiring 2 years ago. He was a member of the American Legion Post 89 in Stoughton and the AMVETS.

Mr. Evans is survived by his cousins, Joyce Marinel of Townsend, Jon Evans of NH, David Evans of Tyngsboro and Robert Evans of Shrewsbury.

Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, June 19 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Monday 5-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Stoughton. Donations in Mac's name may be made to the charity of your choice.
