Luisa (Ricci) Diesso of Sharon, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday morning June 14th . She was 103. She was the wife of the late Michael Diesso and had lived in Sharon since their marriage in 1950. She was born in Santarcangelo Romagna, Italy in 1911. She was the daughter of the late Oreste and Maria (Alessi) Ricci. Luisa was best known for her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens that she so lovingly cared for. She was immediately easy to like for all who met her and was genuinely kind and considerate. She had compassion for everyone and was very much loved. Always at peace with herself, her family and friends, she was able to see the real beauty of life.
Luisa was the mother by marriage of five children; the late, Nicholas Diesso, Justine (Diesso) Bennet, Walter Diesso, Dora (Diesso) Beatty and Margaret (Diesso)(Crosby) Anderson. Ten grandchildren, Michael Diesso, Linda (Diesso )Damon, Steven Diesso, Robert Diesso, Joseph Bennet, Peter Diesso, Bradford Diesso, Jennifer Crosby, Richard Crosby, and Howard Anderson. Fourteen great-grandchildren, Caren Lucarelli, Tami Blenkhorn, Kimberly Blenkhorn, Christopher Cavacas, Paul Cavacas, Stephanie Lindsey, Nicole Tanguey, John Diesso, Ashley Diesso, Katlyn Diesso, Lance Diesso, and Amy Diesso. Thirteen great-great grandchildren, Gary,Matthew, Traci, Brennah, Joseph, Joel, Hannah, Maverick, Brendan, Ethan, Catlyn, Paityn, and Olivia.
She is also survived by a large family of brothers, nieces and nephews in Italy with whom she has always remained loving and faithful to. She was truly blessed and a remarkable women. She will be very much missed and remembered always with much love.
Visitation will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, June 17 from 9-10:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Sharon at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Rock Ridge Cemetery, Sharon.
