LEONARDO, Ludgero M., a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston on Monday, August 10, 2015 after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Zita (Correia) Leonardo. Son of the late Guilherme and Amelia Leonardo, he was born in Horta, Faial, Azores, Portugal and raised in Lisbon, Portugal before moving to Stoughton in 1969. He was a graduate of UMass-Dartmouth. Ludgero was an electrical engineer for Analog Devices in Norwood for over 30 years before working at Conexant in Waltham for 5 years. He enjoyed biking, traveling and working with his hands.
In addition to his wife, Ludgero is survived by his sons, Richard C. and Michael C. Leonardo both of Quincy. He was the brother of Gualberto Leonardo of Lisbon, Portugal and the late Aura Leonardo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, August 15 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 5-8 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Ludgero's memory may be made to the Jimmy Fund, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
