Lucy (Gambrazzio) Panacy, 94, died on Saturday, November 17, 2018, at her home in Stoughton surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late John G. Panacy. Lucy was born and raised in Stoughton and attended Stoughton High School. Mrs. Panacy worked for Brookfield Engineering Labs in Middleboro as an assembler for 45 years and remained at the job she loved until she was 89 years old. Lucy cherished her Brookfield family. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, puzzles, cooking, word searches, classic black and white movies but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Panacy was the mother of Brian D. Panacy and his wife Lisa of Stoughton and the late John A. Panacy. She was the former mother-in-law of Cathy Torrey of Easton. She was the sister of Lena Mortelliti, Frances Anderson, Angelina Panacy and John Gambrazzio all of Stoughton and was predeceased by Joseph Gambrazzio, Mary Nolop, Margaret Norkus, Francis Gambrazzio, Patsquale Gambrazzio, Priscilla Levillee, Salvatore Gambrazzio and Louis Gambrazzio. She was the grandmother of Cari-lyn, Victoria, Olivia, Anna and Talia Panacy and the great-grandmother of Nathan Panacy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27), Stoughton on Tuesday, November 20 from 4-7 PM. Funeral services and burial will be private. Donations in Lucy's memory may be made to Steward Home Care Hospice, 30 Pernal St., Westwood, MA 02091.
