Lucinda M. (Galinha) Ferreira

Lucinda M. (Galinha) Ferreira, 89, a lifelong resident of Stoughton, died peacefully at home on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Augusto C. Ferreira for 64 years. Daughter of the late Feliciano M. and Maria de Luz (dos Santos) Galinha, she was born in Stoughton and graduated from St. John Catholic High School in Canton. Lucinda worked for Hartford Life Insurance Company in Boston for 7 years before working at Northrop Grumman in Norwood for 30 years. She retired at age 62. She enjoyed cooking and word search puzzles and had fond memories of traveling but her greatest joy was being surrounded by her family. 

In addition to her husband, Lucinda is survived by her daughters, Kathleen M. Lydon and her husband Stephen of Myrtle Beach, SC and Elizabeth M. Silverio of Stoughton. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamie Sullivan, Michael Silverio and Ashley Sullivan as well as her great-granddaughter, Spencer Dugarte-Sullivan.
