Lucille K. "Dolly" (Costa) Hegarty

Lucille K. "Dolly" (Costa) Hegarty, 76, died Saturday, September 1, 2018, at her home in Easton, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Kevin J. Hegarty. Born in Boston, she was raised in Dorchester and Pembroke and was a graduate of Silver Lake High School. Mrs. Hegarty was a longtime resident of Easton. She worked as the Nursing Staff Coordinator at the Cardinal Cushing Hospital in Brockton for over 20 years and retired many years ago. She was a dedicated and loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Hegarty enjoyed dining out with her friends from the Cardinal Cushing Hospital and her childhood friends. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with friends, family and her grandchildren.

Mrs. Hegarty was the mother of Kevin V. Hegarty of Newport, RI, Dyana P. Melo and her husband Frank of Easton and the late Nicole Hegarty Woodward. She was the grandmother of Logan Woodward, Dylan Woodward, Isabella Melo, Gianna Melo and Jenelle Melo. She was the sister of Frank Costa of Pembroke.

Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 10 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Easton at 11 AM. Visiting Hours Friday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Easton. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
