Louis J. Quattrucci, 84, died on Sunday, March 22 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Son of the late Raffelle and Louise (Merola) Quattrucci, he was born and educated in Boston and graduated from Boston University. After growing up in Hyde Park, he resided in Stoughton for 42 years before moving to Middleboro in 2002. Mr. Quattrucci was an U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was an insurance underwriter for Maryland Casualty for 25 years before working for Dobax Insurance for 20 years until his retirement 5 years ago. He coached Stoughton Little League and STOYAC youth basketball for many years. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed baseball and also enjoyed trips to Foxwoods.
Mr. Quattrucci is survived by his sons, Louis J. Quattrucci, Jr. and William E. Quattrucci both of Scituate, Richard Quattrucci of Stoughton and James Quattrucci of Middleboro, as well as his grandchildren, Emma, Louis III, Jack, Maryann, Sophia, Christie, Erin, Kimberly, Richard, Matthew, Michaela, Haley, James and Mia. He was the brother of Ralph Quattrucci of Stoughton and the late Mary Marinucci, Lee Kennedy, Theresa Pecci, Virginia Samuels and John Quattrucci. He is also survived by his former wife, Judith (Gray) Quattrucci of Stoughton and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Friday, March 27 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Louis' name may be made to Mass. General Hospital GI Cancers Fund, 165 Cambridge Street, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
