Louis Jean Mompoint

Louis Jean “Yoyo” Mompoint, 71, died Sunday, September 1, 2024, at his home in Stoughton, MA. Born and raised in Cap Haitien, Haiti, to Marceau Mompoint and Marie Therese Marcellin, Louis came to the United States in 1974, settled in Dorchester and later became a US Citizen. He was a graduate of Northeastern University (Northeastern) where he met his wife. In June of 1979, he married Lude-Rose Moreau and together they enjoyed over 45 years of marriage raising their 4 children. After raising their family in Randolph, they moved to Stoughton in 2001.  Louis was the President of the Haitian Student Unity club at Northeastern, President of Real 76 Soccer team, President of the Haitian Soccer league, Founder of GLEEM Investment Club, and Founder of Sigma Investment Club. He later went on to be the founder and owner of Mo-Tech International Inc. and CJ Financial Services in Randolph and Stoughton and was active in Real Estate as well.  In his free time, he loved empowering his community and enjoyed being surrounded by his family and friends. 

Louis is survived by his wife Lude-Rose (Moreau) Mompoint of Stoughton and his children, James Mompoint and his late wife Amanda, Cynthia Louise Mompoint and her husband Maurice Stringer, all of Stoughton, Louis-Jean Jeffrey Mompoint and his wife Nicole of Brockton, Keesha Jennifer Mompoint of Dorchester and Mike Anthony Blanc of Holbrook. He was the grandfather of Marcus, Farah, Maurukhan, Marzo, Mack’kai, Sophia and Zoe. Louis was the brother of Harry Marcellin of Randolph, and Serge Mompoint, of FL. He is also survived by his godson Gregory Marcellin and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting Hours will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rte. 27) Stoughton on Saturday, September 7, 2024 from 10-11 AM with Funeral Prayers and Program to follow at 11 AM.
