Louis Levine, 91, a longtime resident of Brockton, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. He was the husband of the late Jean S. (Johnson) Levine. Born and raised in Malden, he attended Malden Schools. He was a World War II Veteran of the US Navy, serving both in the United States and overseas in Guam. Mr. Levine was a resident of Brockton for over 50 years. He worked as the Manager of Macy's/Charles St. Liquors in Boston's Beacon Hill for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed crossword and jigsaw puzzles, coin collecting and spending time with his family.
Mr. Levine is survived by his daughter, Kimberly Kent Wood and her husband Albert Wood, Sr. of Hanover; and his son, Robert L. Levine and his husband Andreas Waldkirch of Roslindale. He was predeceased by 7 brothers and sisters and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St., (Rte. 27), Stoughton on Sunday, February 17, 2019 from 2-5 PM with family reflections at 4:30 PM. Private interment will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at a later date.
