Louis M. Langsan, 72, a resident of Brockton, died at Blue Hills Alzheimer's Care Center in Stoughton on Monday, October 11. He was the husband of the late Marie (McCarthy) Langsan. Born in New York, NY, he was raised in West Roxbury and educated in Boston schools. Mr. Langsan retired in 1992 from the U.S. Navy after serving for over 20 years. Following his Naval career, he was an armored guard for Dunbar Security in Boston. In his free time he enjoyed watching TV and old movies.
Mr. Langsan is survived by his sons, Daniel Langsan of Melrose and Thomas Langsan of FL. He was the grandfather of Daniel and Sarah Langsan. He was the brother of Robert Civetta of Franklin. He was the brother-in-law of Evelyn McCarthy of Brockton and the late Joseph McCarthy. He is also survived by his dear friend, Dolores D'Alessio as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, October 18 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Brockton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday 5-7 PM. Burial will take place at the VA National Cemetery, Bourne.
