Louis J. Francioso, 85, a longtime resident of Stoughton, died at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital on Wednesday, October 2. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Aubut) Francioso and the late Lorraine (Canniff) Francioso. Born in Somerville, he was raised and educated in Hyde Park. He was a resident of Stoughton for over 30 years. Mr. Francioso was a Seaman 1st Class in the U.S. Navy and a Veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Local 4 Engineers in Boston for over 50 years and retired in 1990.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Francioso is survived by his children, Lawrence Francioso of Billerica, Michael Francioso of Stoughton, Louis Francioso, Jr. of Brockton, Pamala Francioso of Quincy, Paula Binkley of Dedham, Patricia Redfern of Whitman and Patricia Raffa of Stoughton. He was the brother of Ralph Francioso of Cambridge and the late John and Anthony Francioso and Mary Lanata. Also survived by 9 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt.27) Stoughton on Monday, October 7 at 9:30 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours Sunday from 2-6 PM. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Stoughton. Donations in Louis' memory may be made to Fr.
