Lorraine M. (McFadden) Emerson, 75, a resident of Stoughton, died at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on Tuesday, September 11 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Donald G. Emerson, Jr. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Mission Hill High School. She resided in Stoughton and previously lived in Avon for 8 years and Randolph for 15 years. Mrs. Emerson was a supervisor for Nielson Ratings in Dunedin, FL for 10 years and retired 5 years ago. She was an avid Boston sports fan and loved reading. She was adored by her 11 grandchildren.
Mrs. Emerson is survived by her children, Donald G. Emerson, III and his wife Jan of Randolph, Donna M. Coletta and her husband Mark of Stoughton, Michael W. Emerson of Weymouth, Margaret L. Hanlon and her husband Robert of Holbrook, Danny L. Emerson of Brockton and Joseph V. Emerson and his wife Jodi of Sharon. She was the sister of the late Margaret Goode and William McFadden. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 122 Canton St., Stoughton on Friday, September 14 at 10:30 AM. Visiting Hours omitted. Interment will be private.
