Lois M. (Thorner) Gonsalves, 72, died at the Golden Living Center in Cohasset on Sunday, June 17 after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Edward J. Gonsalves. Born in Marblehead, she was a graduate of Stoughton High School, Class of 1953. She was a resident of Brockton for over 40 years. Mrs. Gonsalves was a housewife at home with her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Gonsalves is survived by her sons, Edward J. Gonsalves, Jr. and his wife Christine of Holbrook and James F. Gonsalves and his wife Ann of Raynham, as well as her grandchildren, Meghan E. Gonsalves and Kerrie-Anne Gonsalves. She was the sister of Jean Myer of MI and the late Richard Thorner, Frederick Thorner and William Thorner. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Wednesday, June 20 at 8 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church, Stoughton at 9 AM. Visiting Hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in West Bridgewater. Donations in Lois' name may be made to American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
