Lloyd H. Ramsdell, Jr., 83, died unexpectedly at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on Monday, September 25. He was the husband of Mona C. (Holmes) Ramsdell of Stoughton. Born and educated in Boston, he was a longtime resident of Boston. Mr. Ramsdell was a U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran of World War II. Mr. Ramsdell was a Supervisor of Central Supplies at the Mass. Eye & Ear Hospital in Boston for over 40 years before retiring 10 years ago. He was very patriotic and enjoyed Big Band Era music and reading.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ramsdell is survived by his daughter, Lynn K. Struck and his sons, Mark K. Ramsdell and Steven W. Ramsdell all of Stoughton. He was the brother of Olive Sweeney of Brookline, Earl Ramsdell of UT, Alan Ramsdell of AZ and the late Dorothy Izzo and Robert Ramsdell. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be held from the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Friday, September 29 at 11:45 AM. Visitation prior from 11 AM. Burial will take place at the VA National Cemetery in Bourne.
